    Orange juice is a refreshing drink made by blending oranges with or without sugar. Nothing can beat a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. It only takes 10 minutes to make this fresh orange juice. A glass of home-made orange juice is very refreshing and helps in boosting immunity in a natural way.

    I feel like drinking some simple juices especially during summers and citrus juices top the list. This refreshing orange juice is so refreshing after a tiring day. Orange juice helps in glowing skin and keeps us cool. I really liked the bright orange color and the taste too, the oranges give a nice tang to the juice so don’t miss out on trying this juice.

    Orange juice is made by extracting juice from oranges and adding sugar to it. You can make orange with or without sweetener as per your choice. Orange juice is one of the popular juices which is a widely consumed and versatile drink which can have many variations.

    Orange juice can be enjoyed alone or used as an ingredient in various dishes. Enjoying fresh juice not only tastes delicious but it contains all the goodness of the fruit. This way we can get most of the nutrients from the fruit as each sip of orange juice is packed with nutrients like vitamin C and fiber.

    Orange juice is very versatile – you can make it thick without adding water or add ice cubes to make it thin and cool. Add sugar or any sweetener if you wish, otherwise skip it and enjoy the wholesome goodness of orange.

    Orange juice is a good source of Vitamin C which helps build immunity, aids in skin glow and overall health. Orange juice is known for its refreshing taste and can be made with a variety of ingredients.

    This juice is best to quench your thirst. Homemade orange juice is the best and cannot be compared to the bottled drink that is easily available in stores. The choice of oranges can depend on the availability at your place or your personal preference and taste. Navel oranges are best suited for juice making option.

    Types of oranges to choose from : Oranges come in many different varieties, including blood orange, tangerine, Valencia orange, clementine, and naval orange. Packaged orange juice loses its nutrients because it is not fresh and also has added colors and preservatives.

    Orange Juice – 2 Ways

    I have shared 2 methods of making orange juice

    • Without using a mixer – this is the most common method used by everyone. All you need is a manual juicer to extract juice. Simply cut an orange in half and start squeezing it to extract the juice.
    • Using a mixer – Gather the orange pulp by removing the seeds. Put it in a mixer jar with or without sugar and blend a few times. Put in a strainer and press to extract the juice completely.

    How to make orange juice step by step

    1.First of all take 2 ripe oranges. Rub it a few times – this will remove the juice properly.

    2. Cut each orange in half.

    3. Take a manual juicer, I use a steel juicer which has sharp edges which extracts juice well and easily.

    4. Place the orange half and start pressing and twisting it to squeeze out the juice. If you don’t have this manual juicer – just halve the oranges, then remove the seeds using a knife and then start squeezing the oranges into a bowl.

    5. Squeeze until the juice comes out completely.

    6.If you like pulpy orange juice then you can add some of the pulp collected from here to the juice.

    7.Remove the seeds, juice will collect below.

    9.First of all cut the edges of the orange.

    10. Cut down the middle.

    11. Cut and open in this manner. Remove seeds.

    12. Collect the pulp alone and put it in a mixer jar. I added the pulp of 2 oranges.

    13.Add 2 spoons of sugar in it. If you don’t want to add sugar then it is completely optional.

    14. Blend it a few times in between, do not blend it too much otherwise it will become bitter. Now pour the juice in a strainer.

    15.Extract all the juice by pressing it with a spoon.

    18.Pour it into a serving glass and enjoy!

    If you prefer to drink cold orange juice, add ice cubes!

    Expert Tips

    • oranges – Choose fresh, sweet and ripe oranges to avoid sugar.
    • ups and downs – You can also add juice of 1 small lemon to lemon orange juice. Add a small piece of ginger while mixing for a unique taste.
    • adding carrots – You can also add carrots to it for more delicious juice.
    • blending – Do not blend the orange for too long as it may become bitter. Blend at intervals of just a few seconds.
    • cold juice – Before extracting orange juice, keep it in the refrigerator so that you can get cold orange juice without adding ice cubes.
    • extracting seeds – Always remove the seeds and white fiber part before putting it in the mixer, otherwise its taste will become bitter.

    You can serve it as is or with some ice cubes. Fruit juice is best consumed fresh so I wouldn’t recommend storing it.

    Orange juice remains good for 6-8 hours at room temperature and up to 2 days in the refrigerator. You can pour the juice into molds, freeze it and even make popsicles.

    • 2 Small Carrot
    • 2 oranges
    • 1 Small Lemon
