I swear this job keeps me from getting into style habits that my busy 46-year-old WFH mom can comfortably live with. I can easily wear the same athleisure over and over again (and often do), but when I make a little effort, I feel like myself. But here in the PNW it’s so casual, which is both a blessing and a curse (I miss dressing up, but only barely), so these are definitely more sports clothes for the weekend.

shirt | shorts | denim button up (same) Shoes | sunglasses | bandana

This is my take on the “Bloomer” trend and these pull-on shorts Very nice. But to make sure they don’t look like pajamas, I added enough accessories with patterns and fun. Y’all, we’re so happy with this checkered van Is it back??? Man, they really make a basic outfit look like you have a sense of style. He t shirt Really big and boxy, which is cute, but I like to wear it with the sleeves rolled up a few times to take away the slubbiness.

And of course, the “shirt tied around the waist” fits in all the right places, keeping things snug and comfortable.

    Cap | sweatshirt | shorts | socks | Shoes | big bag | sunglasses

Every time I go to Abercrombie, I feel like it’s too small for me, and every time I find something I really like. it 70s matching sweat set, Once you wear the accessory, it feels good despite it being so basic. The cut is good, and shorts Are really comfortable (pull-on shorts, soft elastic). It’s been hard for me (as an older millennial) to wear shorter socks, but once I figured out in And bought them in bulk, I got after it. Their height and that simple stripe feel on-trend, without trying too hard (I hope). Furthermore, they vegas!!! Now I understand! They are very comfortable and cool. Too, that striped hat On sale now for $14.

Cap | button down shirt (Similar to a ruffle collar) shorts | sandals | bag | necklace | sunglasses

This is 100% the outfit I’m bringing on all of my trips this summer. shorts Were a little pricey, but they’re very pretty and stay really polished (they’re not some thin silk that gathers and sticks to you; they actually look great). I’m wearing a medium because they didn’t have small clothes in the store, but a medium feels good, so maybe size up? shirt Older than Old Navy, and they have the same version with a different collar which is cute. I like the crop (these shorts are not good to wear). If I were a fitted tank top or t-shirt girl, that would look really good with these shorts, but a casual button-up works too. shout out to Quince Sandal Which are super comfortable and have a trendy white sole that gives off that “sneaker” vibe. belt bag is older than Target (they still sell it, and it’s on sale for $17 right now), and necklace One that I wear more than I thought I would (it’s a neutral stone that goes with everything).

Cap | button down shirt (Similar to a ruffle collar) shorts | sandals | bag | necklace | sunglasses

    bandana | jacket | shirt | shorts | bag | sandals

these shorts The above are a more affordable version of the silk shorts. I returned these because I didn’t need both, but they were (and are) great. a matching topBut it felt like pajamas to me). linen jacket This is one I wear all the time, probably because it looks great with denim and is very light and easy, but with some structure and style. triangle scarf By the way, it is much easier to wear than a huge folded square. And just so you know, simple flip-flops are back! Havaianas FTW!

    Cap | core coat | shirt | shorts | socks | Shoes | bag | sunglasses

it Jean jacket Here’s the real winner. It’s a great cut, light weight (for denim), and has a good structure without being too stiff and uncomfortable. Really easy to wear. shorts I returned because I don’t think trouser shorts are my thing (so much as denim), but they would be great for someone who has an office job in the summer.

    Cap | core coat | shirt | shorts | socks | Shoes | bag | sunglasses

I have a really bad t-shirt game (I’m very picky and they don’t come easily to me), so I found this here Amazon for $13It was really well reviewed. My only problem is that it’s too long for me, but otherwise it’s a great find for that price.

Cap | button down shirt | pants | sandals | bandana | sunglasses

i was so excited about it these pants Back in stock and in new color. They’re the perfect trousers for summer weekends – cute little cuffs, carpenter-style pockets and a great slimming but loose fit. I am wearing a small one. that target shirt Continues in rotation, and I repurchased it because I spilled makeup on it 🙂

Cap | long sleeve sweatshirt | shorts | socks | Shoes | bag

I finally caved in (my IG algorithm knows me, it’s so annoying!) and bought it. these seaves blue sneakers I definitely like that. They are so comfortable and easy to walk on while also having good lift (and very light). The world’s best denim shorts Obviously, still going strong. striped sweatshirt Big and thick (it’s terry fabric), with really great looks (and a lovely drawstring). These are the same socks with the black stripe, just without the stripe. His height is perfect.

denim button up (same) shirt | shorts | sandals | bag | sunglasses

i bought these shorts For pull-on short posts, and they are extremely cute, sleek and tall. All you need to do is hop on the Aritzia train (J.Crew’s price, but faster). I paired it with Aritzia Ribbed Tank I’m stupidly too self-conscious to wear it without a denim shirt over it (but it’s a nice square neck tank, also comes in white).

    bandana | cardigan | shirt | shorts | belt | sandals | bag | sunglasses | necklace

This dress is extremely me – easy to wear, casual, comfortable with a pop of neutral pattern. Also, I will bring it on every trip this summer. cardigan It’s great (a little heavy for warmer weather, FYI, but a great night-time layering piece). Madewell Tank Boxy, scoop-neck and great for layering. these sandals Still my favorite to wear with any outfit.

    Cap | shirt | pants | slides | sunglasses | necklace

I’d forgotten how much I love cool t-shirts; They are very soft and soft (This one It has a vintage vibe). pants These are the linen cropped taper ones that I admired. big fan of his bucket hat 🙂

    top | shorts | sandals | bag | necklace

This is the only outfit that didn’t feel like me, and yet my team liked it so much that I wanted to show it to you. There’s a seersucker set from Madewell that I know is “in,” but it doesn’t work for me (and its elastic is way too tight at the waist).

    Cap | cardigan | pants | sandals | bandana

It’s a reminder that basics can look great with a few accessories. these pants Gap has blurry barrel pants that are amazing (I want them in navy blue, but they’re sold out, and I think I ordered the petite, which is why they’re small). they come along a matching topVery. same cardigan As in navy but in beige (a great cut, the crop and the weave is very high quality). And scarf It’s really easy to slip it on your head or wear it that way – it’s just a triangle, so less bulky than my usual square that has to be folded.

    Cap | cardigan | pants | sandals | bandana

She’s going to Multnomah Village for lunch 🙂 IYKYK.
