Trying to find sweaters that can be easily layered with jackets, that provide warmth without bulking down, is one of my main goals in life. I don’t want anything too fitted, but also don’t always want the volume of big woolen or fisherman sweaters. So I went shopping, picked a few that were recommended to me, and tried several others. Here are 4 that I loved and have now (finally one that I really liked but didn’t keep – you tell me).

these pants Are unbelievable. They’re a lightweight linen blend and very drapey, but somehow with so much structure due to them being sewn in a barrel shape. They’re super flowy and easily dressed up or down (I’ll show you both). My only caveats are that the waist is quite fitted without being stretchy (which isn’t my favorite as I’m obsessed with comfort), and this is still not a pair I’d wear when I’m feeling bloated or have to sit all day, but they’re so flattering that I’ll accept a more fitted waist this time around. By the way, I’m wearing a 4 here.
This thin knit sweater There is too much playing going on here. I know, it’s not very exciting to look at, but the cut is very flattering because it’s drapey without being hugging and the V-neck is visible without being too deep. It’s a bit fitted in the arms, but then gives some good room, then comes to the waist, but again, not hugging or squeezing, just descending gently with a wide waistband. Y’all, don’t sleep on Aritzia. I’ve found many of their pieces to be extremely high quality but not overly expensive. This is a new staple of mine. belt That’s from there too and is my favorite so far. mules Kelsey is dagger and absolutely fabulous.

Ha. Here they are again. Oh, this mule Are rad, btw. I like pointy toes. I wish I had ordered them in the burgundy color too, but I don’t need three pairs of the same shoes (I also bought them in nude and already wear them outside the house – they perfectly lengthen your foot if you want to do that). However, I also love this caramel color. They are comfortable and very easy to wear without looking like you are wearing fancy heels. cashmere striped sweater It’s from Madewell and is a great layering piece under a jacket – no bulk, just softness.

Viral Roll-Neck Sweater Free People comes in a million colors and is great. It’s thick enough to keep you warm in the spring, but not heavy and still easy to layer. It’s casual but looks really high quality. Jess has it too and loves it. pants These are my new barrels from J.Crew (which I reviewed in my spring jean post last week). I love that red flat (Perfect tone, not too bright red but still pops). i have that canvas bag For some time and use it every day as it is big enough for a laptop.

J.Crew Rollneck This is nice too (and comes in cable knits too). I’m wearing an XS, so size down if you don’t want it to be larger. I like the little stripes, the cream and black, and it looks like it’s very easy to wear but not boring.

Ugh. you can barely see that muleBut they are new and so cute and super comfortable. I don’t want to tell you how many mules I tried on to find the most comfortable one. If you’re in between sizes, size up; They run a little short.

we all agreed on this this sweater Was incredibly cute and worth showing, but be warned it’s a bit long. It’s really well made and seems high quality, but since the hem is thick it’s not easy to tuck in, so I returned it because I had other two that I like and they fit me better. But if you like a nice oversized and long sweater in terms of style, I love this one. they are famous bella jeans From Quince 🙂
This is the next spring sweater and more transitional spring outfit inspo for the next one! Have a nice Saturday. xx
