Yes, I/the entire EHD team is still in the hardcore “let’s make life better and look better” mentality. For me, it’s been everything from health to beauty and home organization. I’ve been slowly finishing off things that have been on my list for a while, and wow, wow, wow, it really feels good to check those babies off. So, in the spirit of January, this is a post filled mostly with decor pieces that look great while also being practical (aka will make your life better). Oh, and this is from everyone wayfairSo you know the prices are great, and shipping is fast. I promise there’s a lot of power in making just one small positive change, even if we Thinking If we can’t do everything on our list at once, it’s a waste of time. It’s not a waste, and it actually helps…I know from experience. So let’s dive in, shall we?
shoe storage
I know I talked about shoe storage in my post last week about organizing products, but there were only two options (both great if I do say so myself), but I thought we needed more, and with some variety. These will focus solely on shoe storage for entryways or mudrooms (ie the kind you see and want to look beautiful).
what a wonder! Modern traditional style, great looking hardware, can hold up to 12 pairs of shoes (at least that’s what it says in the description, and it has a drawer! Oh, sorry, it’s also under $150 :)) I just think it’s very attractive and offers a lot of functions beyond shoe storage. It also comes in a few other colors if black doesn’t work with the rest of your decor.
But maybe you prefer the bench style more (it’s nice to have a place to sit while you’re putting on or taking off your shoes), and that’s where this amazing piece Comes. Just the right amount of detail to feel special but not “too much”, holds eight pairs of shoes, and is only $120.
This one I love it visually, but obviously its storage capacity is not like others. I see it for the individual, couple, family, etc. who don’t have shoe storage issues but need a bench. Then let’s say if a pair of shoes urgently needs a temporary home or has guests coming over, it’s a perfect fit. The arm swings are also very good.
boot tray
The Portland team made sure I included a boot tray as they are well aware of wanting a good looking place to keep their wet and/or dirty boots. I thought This one Was very ideal! It has a great MCM style, beautiful stains (there are two other options too), and two levels! Double the shoes, double the fun, they say 🙂
However, if you don’t need two tiers and you prefer a tray that’s easy to wipe down, any of these look great and work with many styles. galvanized steel is $40 and surprisingly classic, and copper one The one with that cute and cool square pattern on the base is $46. Neither of them can make a mistake.
weatherproof mats
If you need a boot tray, you’ll probably also need indoor weather mats, right? We like ones that are simple, have a nice neutral color and a subtle pattern. This one Great because it really checks those boxes, and if you read about it, it’s a puppy durable. This slim size is also great for smaller or more narrow spaces.
Two more options! blue colored I miss the one from M’s Mudroom, but it also comes in several other colors, and I like the dot pattern on this one the brown one (Which also reminds me of MK’s mudroom one :)).
memory foam rug pad
M is being used This perfect rug pad From his LA days, and as someone who has had the pleasure of walking on it, it’s pretty cool. I’ve wanted one for a long time, and 2026 could be that year. Here’s what they said about it in 2020:
With a “1/2″ memory foam feel, this rug pad (combined with this cozy rug) is very comfortable. We bought this originally because our first Persian rug was quite thin and I wanted a friction-free wrestling period. pillow inserts
I just recently changed my pillow, and wow, did I notice a difference! If you’re in the market, this is what one reviewer said about these ones: :

Nightstands with Charging Stations
Why don’t your nightstands be even better for you and have a built-in charging station? If you’re the kind of person who leaves your phone in the other room when you sleep, you’re my hero. But for the rest of us, the idea of having the easiest access to a charging port for one of our many devices sounds pretty amazing. But basic and overly modern nightstands aren’t really our priority. Instead, check out how great these modern traditionals are. black ones While their two drawers above have clean lines and that beautiful open corner light colored Have amazing round legs. There is no harm in any of these options.
Here are some more modern options. the flute is playing inspired by mcm The perfect detail for the substantial visual texture (also only $130). then how good is it more postmodern! Its shape is modern, and the texture of the wood is very organic-looking and beautiful. Just a great option for a beautiful but unexpected piece (and at a great price of $165).
storage end of bed benches
As I’m sure many of you know, EHDs love end-of-bed benches. Make it a storage bench?? Chef’s kiss. so when i saw This one I knew I had to include it. Very beautiful, elegant and practical.
this bench (As these photos prove) Perfect for an entryway, hallway or at the end of a bed etc. The colors are great, the style is classic, and the looks suggest it has a good amount of storage. No note.
i feel like This one There is a secret storage bench. When you see this, you don’t immediately think of “storage bench.” The style is versatile, the color is neutral but fun, and because it’s 100% upholstered, it looks cozy too 🙂 All of the benches are around $200, which isn’t bad at all.
jewelery organization
Let’s just say that most of my costume jewelery is in a very pretty pink deliberately empty shoebox. It’s not a terrible solution, but it’s not a great solution or one I want to showcase. On the other hand, these two are a different story. If you read any of last year’s trend posts or Arlin’s 2026 color trend post from Wednesday, you know that light blue is one of the hottest colors currently. It surprised me last year too, and I couldn’t love it more. So if you want to dip your toe in the icy blue world, This light blue jewelery box Is complete. But you’re someone with classic natural wood tones and your budget is a little more than $100, this nutty beauty This is a person who acts without thinking. If I had my own bathroom design in mind, I would have a hard time choosing between these two.
But maybe you say, “Jess, aren’t you cute with your three little drawers, but it wouldn’t be a good fit for my jewelry collection.” blond! Then here is an option Which can be mounted on the wall or hung on the door. And not only do you get ample amount of jewelery storage, but you also get a wall mirror! They also come in other fun colors if black doesn’t work with your overall style.

I think the next step up from this would be a jewelery wardrobe. It’s simple, stylish and gives you an incredible amount of storage!
cord management
It’s 2026, and if somehow you don’t have a ton of cords to manage, I’m very impressed! I think most of us have at least one area in the house where cords are out of control, and these cute little boxes can help manage cord clutter. the white one Its purpose is to hide the background with its simple, smooth lines. the green one Kind of a “show me” girl with that fun color and cool texture. Something for everyone…
