White Christmas Slice is a soft, sweet and crunchy, no-bake dessert bar made using desiccated coconut, milk powder, nuts, dried fruits and butter. It’s lightly sweet, nutritious and perfect for when you want to make something quick but special. You can prepare it in just a few minutes and it sets beautifully in the fridge and gives a firm but chewy flavour.
I like to make these slices whenever I feel like eating something sweet but I don’t want to stand in the kitchen for long. It looks so colorful and bright because of all those dry fruits. You can cut them into small squares or long strips and it still tastes delicious. Children also like it very much because it melts in the mouth and being crispy is also fun.

About White Christmas Slice
White Christmas Slices are an easy no-bake dessert that I love to make during the colder months. This is basically a festive recipe but actually you can make it anytime. The mixture of coconut, milk powder and sugar gives it a rich creamy taste and the rice crisps give it a nice light crunch. I have used tutti frutti and cranberries which makes it bright.
The butter and coconut oil help bind everything together and give a smooth shiny texture without using the stove for long periods of time. It also becomes hard when it cools. The coconut and milk powder give a nice creamy texture while the rice crispies and dry fruits add a little crunch in between. You can easily make it a day before and keep it in the refrigerator until serving.
Sometimes I even try small variations – you can try any dry fruit you have on hand. Once I made it with condensed milk instead of butter and it turned out very rich. It tastes even better when it cools down a bit. This piece is such a savior when I need something quick. This recipe is a must try.
White Christmas Slices are a unique dish usually made during Christmas, which is simple and quick to make. I usually make this when relatives visit suddenly or for a quick snack box treat. It never fails, and it looks so beautiful that everyone thinks it took a lot of time to make it.

white christmas slice ingredients
- desiccated coconut – I have used finely desiccated coconut, it gives soft texture and nice coconut flavour.
- milk powder – I used full cream milk powder which gives a richer taste. It blends well with the coconut and makes every piece creamy and soft.
- rice Krispies – I have added rice crispies for added crunch. It gives a light airy texture and balances the softness of the coconut well.
- Castor sugar – I used icing sugar because it mixes easily and makes the slices smoother. You can add more or less sugar as per your wish.
- dry fruits – I have added tutti frutti and cranberries for color and a slight tangy taste. You can also try with cashews, almonds or raisins, everything turns out good.
- butter – I melt the butter in just a few seconds until it softens. This gives a nice richness and helps bind the mixture together.
- coconut oil – I used teaspoon coconut oil so that the slices set better and have a slight coconut smell. If you like its taste better then you can also use extra butter.
Why does this recipe work

Expert Tips
- use shredded coconut – I have used finely desiccated coconut, coarse coconut will break the pieces into pieces so avoid doing so.
- Melt the butter slowly – Heat the butter only until it melts, not until it turns brown. It should mix easily with the coconut oil.
- mix everything gently – I used a spatula to mix the ingredients. Do not press too much otherwise the mixture will become sticky.
- press well and shape – After transferring to the tray, I press it well using a flat bowl so that the slices set firm and evenly.
- Keep refrigerated – Always cool for 30 minutes or more before cutting. This helps the slices set properly and keep their shape.
serving and storage
Serve the White Christmas Slices cold or slightly chilled. It tastes amazing with hot coffee or tea. Keep it in an airtight container and refrigerate until the time of serving. It easily remains fine for 3-4 days. Do not keep it out for too long otherwise it may become soft and sticky.

No, it is not needed. All you have to do is mix it all together, press into a tray and keep in the fridge to set.
