I just want to quickly say Happy Holidays to all of you who celebrate the holidays in any way and thank you so much for being here this year (or just today). I know not everyone experiences the holidays the same way (this time of year can be very difficult for many people). So wherever you are, however you’re feeling, I hope you can give yourself some time, grace and space to be with the people you love and who make you feel good. The EHD team office will be closed for two full weeks, and I am so relieved and grateful to be back here with my family in peace after the holidays. It’s the best week between Christmas and New Years, when much of the world shuts down, and you hear a collective social sigh. I hope you’ll go offline, get out into some sort of nature (or whatever version of “quiet” is to you) and spend time with people who satiate you. We’re headed to Big Sky, just the four of us, to ski the easiest mountain for beginners (me!), so wish me luck. I’m still learning (and it’s not going that well), but I’m also bringing several books to read and have a massage booked in case I need to take the afternoon off. Despite this, it feels good to be in nature, moving my body with my kids (even though my nervous system is probably overwhelmed with fear of falling, dying, or hurting someone else). Learning to ski at the age of 46 is not for the faint of heart!!
Sure, we’ll have some fun end of the year posts next week, should you want to join in or be entertained 🙂 But mostly I’ll be hanging out with these guys, and a few pets (and possibly a new kitten or two!), squeezing out every moment of relaxation this year. Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and thank you very much for visiting. My family and my team value every second we get to do this, and are grateful for each of you who spend time here. xx
