    About Granola Bars

Granola bars are homemade snack bars made by mixing roasted oats with a sticky sugar mixture. Once everything is mixed well, it is pressed and set to form bars. This is a no bake recipe and is very beginner friendly. You don’t need an oven or any special equipment. This can be easily done on the stove top.

This recipe has the crunchy texture of oats and nuts and a slight chewy flavor from the sugar and honey. Apart from this, the rice crisps in this recipe are lightly crunchy and the candies in between give a sweet taste. I added peanut butter for richness and it helps bind everything together nicely. Every bite looks balanced and delicious.

You can make it in many ways according to your taste. Add dried fruits, seeds, chocolate chips or different nuts as per your choice. You can even skip the candies and make it a little healthier. You can even skip the candies and make it healthier. Even a slight change in ingredients gives a different taste. You can adjust it based on your preference.

I usually make it on weekends and keep it in the fridge. It remains good for several days and helps a lot in case of sudden hunger.

    • rolled oats – I added this for the base of the bars. It adds crispiness and makes it filling. You can fry it lightly for better taste.
    • rice Krispies -It is added for extra light crunch. This makes the bar airy and not too heavy.
    • M&M Candies – I used it for sweetness and color. This makes the bar especially enjoyable for children. You can also change it with gems.
    • butter -The butter helps melt the sugar and bind everything together. This also increases prosperity. You can use any unsalted butter.
    • peanut butter – I used it to add flavor and binding. This makes the bars a little creamier. You can use chunky or smooth.
    • Brown sugar – It is used for sweetness and sticky texture. This helps the bars maintain their shape. You can also use regular sugar.
    • Honey – Honey increases sweetness and helps in binding. It also gives a slight chewiness. If you want less sweetness then you can reduce it a little.
