Apple Fizz is made by mixing apple sauce with soda and ice cubes. It is very refreshing and light, perfect to make during summer afternoons or even for small gatherings at home. This drink does not require any fancy ingredients and can be easily made in just a few minutes if the applesauce is ready.
The taste of this Apple Fizz is mildly sweet and it also has the flavor of apple. Due to the applesauce it has a slightly thick texture, not like a regular juice based drink. Apple Fizz is nothing but Apple Soda yes apple juice mixed with soda. I’m not really a fan of any beverage containing soda, but very rarely do I feel like drinking it, so one day I made this apple fizz, my husband and I enjoyed it! Since summer is already here, I love such cool drinks.

About Apple Fizz
Apple Fizz is a non-alcohol drink consisting of applesauce mixed with chilled soda and ice cubes. Apple chutney is prepared by cooking apples until soft and blending them smooth. This sauce is then used as the base for the drink. It gives natural sweetness and fruity taste without using artificial syrup.
The taste of this drink is very fresh and clean. The apple flavor is mild, not too intense, and the soda also adds a slight fizz that makes it very refreshing. You can also easily customize it and try it with different flavors, like a little ginger juice or lemon juice for added flavor.
The texture of this recipe is slightly thicker than apple juice. The applesauce in this recipe provides body to the drink. If you like a thinner drink you can reduce the amount of applesauce and add more soda. Whenever I feel like eating something different and fresh, I instantly make this Apple Fizz.
I usually make applesauce in large quantities and store it in the fridge. This especially comes in handy during weekends when kids ask for something cold to drink. It is very light which makes it a little different and interesting. Kids will love this drink and it is a great alternative to packaged fizzy drinks.

Apple Fizz Ingredients
- Apple – I used it to make applesauce. It gives good natural sweetness and mild fruity taste. Any variety of sweet apple will do well at home.
- Sugar – I added a little sugar to sweeten the applesauce. This helps balance the mild tart flavor of the apple. If you want, you can avoid it or replace it with jaggery.
- cold soda – I use for fizz and refreshment. This gives the drink a nice bubbly feel. You can also use sparkling water.
- ice cubes – I add it to drinks for coolness and freshness. Add as needed, depending on seasoning and taste.

Expert Tips
- apple picking – For better taste I use sweet apples. If the apples are sour, you may need to add a little extra sugar.
- baking apples – I don’t undercook apples. They should be very soft so that the sauce mixes easily without lumps.
- sugar adjustment – I keep the applesauce sweet. You can always add more sugar when making the fizz.
- soda management – I make sure the soda is well chilled. Add this just before serving otherwise the fizz will reduce.
- taste difference – I try different flavours, you can just add a little ginger juice or lemon juice for extra flavour.
serving and storage
Add soda to this Apple Fizz for great taste and fizz and serve immediately. It tastes good as an evening drink or during parties. Applesauce can be stored in a clean airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Do not store prepared apple fizz as the soda will spoil.
