For the first time I tasted broccoli at Taj. My friend ordered the Neapolitan Fries and it also came with the Broccoli Stir Fry. At first it seemed like a tasteless stir fry to me (it was an Italian restaurant and everything seemed raw to me, so didn’t want to taste it at all), but then knowing the health benefits and my friends’ compulsion, I wanted to try it. And to my surprise, it tasted so good…the olive oil was delicious with the mild spice.

About Broccoli Stir Fry
Broccoli is a vegetable that is easily available these days and has many health benefits so I make sure to buy it often. Although broccoli originated from the Mediterranean region, nowadays it has become common in India also. This broccoli stir is my favorite recipe to pair with roti or rice.
Apart from this stir fry, I make broccoli soup, broccoli salt and pepper and parathas etc. My kids are fond of light fries and this is perfect for them. Broccoli stir fry goes well with rice, sambar or rasam and can also be eaten with roti.
You can make many of the same dishes with broccoli that you make with cauliflower. Mitthu was introduced to this vegetable in the form of green cauliflower when she was a child. First of all, while feeding new vegetables to children, try to prepare them in their favorite form, gradually when they like the vegetable, they will be ready to eat anything made from it.
There is always a saying that any vegetable which is green has many health benefits and broccoli is no exception. Add it to your regular diet and enjoy!
