Expert Tips
- butter mixture – I always add oregano, chili pieces and a little salt to the butter before spreading. This helps the flavor spread evenly and makes the bread taste delicious in every bite. Sometimes I mix it directly without measuring.
- toasting – I toast the bread only until it becomes light golden. If you fry it too much, it may burn later when the cheese melts on top. Therefore, it would be better not to toast it too much.
- melting cheese – I put it on low heat and cover the pan so that the cheese melts slowly and evenly.
- choice of cheese – I used mozzarella because it melts well and also gives good stretch. But depending on what you have, any melting cheese works fine.
- extra flavor – Sometimes I add a little crushed garlic to the butter for extra flavor. It smells good and makes the toast more delicious.
serving and storage
Take out the cheese toast straight from the pan and serve it hot. It tastes best when the cheese is still melted and soft. You can cut it in half or into triangles before serving. It is best eaten fresh and should not be stored as it becomes soggy when cooled. If necessary, heat the pan again for a few seconds, not more than that.
