About Gummy Bear Popsicle
Gummy Bear Popsicles are a very simple frozen dessert where gummy candies are mixed into a lemon syrup base. Plus the lemon juice adds a little freshness and balances out the sweetness of the sugar and candy.
When it freezes, gummy bears stay inside the ice and chew on it occasionally. Children usually enjoy finding jelly while eating it. I usually make this when I need something really quick and fun without much effort. It hardly takes 10 minutes to prepare, although the freezing time takes longer.
This type of popsicle does not contain milk or cream, so it is more like ice candy and feels more light. It is transparent and colored depending on the gummy bears used. Different shapes and colors of gummies can be added making it look more colorful and attractive.
The lemon sugar water acts as a base and holds everything together once it sets. If too few gummies are added, they may settle to the bottom. Adding more helps them float around a bit and look evenly spread out.

Gummy Bear Popsicle Ingredients
- gummy bears – I used small packets of jelly gummy bears. This adds color and chewy texture to the inside of the popsicle. You can use any flavor or mixed candy of your choice.
- Water – I added this to create an ice structure around the gummies. You can also use cold water if needed.
- lemon juice – I used it for the spiciness, it just balances the sweetness and tastes refreshing.
- Sugar – I just added it to sweeten the lemonade. It dissolves and mixes evenly into the base. You can increase or decrease it as per your taste.

Expert Tips
- dissolve sugar – I usually stir for a few minutes so that no sugar settles at the bottom until it is completely dissolved.
- filling molds – I usually leave a little space at the top because the liquid expands a bit when frozen. Do not fill the mold with too much liquid.
- adding gummies – I fill the mold about three quarters full before pouring the lemon mixture. Add enough gummy bears so they can appear properly.
- cooling time – I freeze it for at least 6 to 8 hours so that it hardens. Don’t remove the popsicles too quickly.
- Demoulding – I usually do this gently so that the popsicle comes out easily without breaking. Expose the mold under running tap water for a few seconds.
serving and storage
Serve them immediately after removing from the mold. It tastes good as an evening snack during summer days. If not serving immediately, keep the popsicles in the freezer. These can be kept in the freezer for a few days without any problem. And just make sure the mold is properly covered to avoid ice crystals.
general questions and answers
1.Can I use other fruit juices?
Yes, you can use orange or mixed fruit juice. Adjust sugar depending on the sweetness of the juice.
2. Why are my gummy bears settling down?
If you add less gummies they may sink. Add a little more so that they spread well inside.
3.Can I reduce sugar in this recipe?
Yes, the sugar can be reduced if the gummies are already too sweet. Taste the mixture before it sets.
4.How many hours should it be set?
You just have to freeze it for at least 6 to 8 hours for it to set completely. Prolonged freezing provides better firmness and texture.
5.Can I use a bigger mold?
