About Homemade Chocolate
Traditionally homemade chocolate is made using cocoa butter, which gives it a similar taste to store-bought chocolate, but cocoa butter is not readily available everywhere. The next option is to use coconut oil and it gives good taste to the chocolate and is also healthy.
Coconut oil gives a mild flavor to chocolate, so if you like the taste of coconut oil then you can use it. If you don’t want the taste of coconut oil I would recommend using cocoa butter. You can add nuts, dry fruits of your choice for extra crunch.
This homemade chocolate can be customized to your liking – you can use coconut oil, honey and cocoa powder for a more healthy version. I have tried many variations using this recipe and it works like a charm every time.
Store-bought chocolate is made using cocoa beans and is a lengthy process – it involves first harvesting the cocoa fruit, removing the seeds, which are called cocoa beans, fermenting the beans, dehydrating them, roasting the cocoa beans, then removing the outer skin and collecting the cocoa nibs, then grinding it with sugar and melted cocoa butter to form a smooth paste, then pouring it into molds and letting it set. Give.
This easy homemade chocolate can be made easily and quickly in less time. Compared to the lengthy process of making chocolate, this is a quick and easy version that is ready in just a few minutes. This is one of the best homemade chocolate recipes I’ve tried so I wanted to post it here.

cocoa powder vs cocoa powder
I have tried this homemade chocolate using both cocoa powder and cocoa powder and there is no noticeable difference in the taste and texture. Cocoa Power is healthier because it is minimally processed so it is more natural. Now that I have gotten used to cocoa powder, I don’t use it at all anymore. Cocoa powder is lighter in color than cocoa powder but it does not make much difference to the dishes we make using it.

- vanilla extract – Adds mild flavor to chocolate. You can use homemade or store-bought vanilla extract.

coconut oil vs cocoa butter
I’ve tried all of these on different occasions and here’s what I personally prefer
- coconut oil – This is one of the healthier options to use but gives the flavor of coconut oil in the chocolate so if you like the taste of coconut oil then you can use it.
- cocoa butter Cocoa butter is one of the most commonly used ingredients for homemade chocolate and it lets the chocolate set at room temperature. If you can get it easily then you can use it.

general questions and answers
1.What is the method of double boiling?
Take a saucepan and add water to it and let it boil. Then place a mixing bowl over it and make sure it is dry and the base is not touched with water. This is called double boiling method.
2.I don’t have a silicone mold, can I make this chocolate?
Yes, you can make this – just spoon the mixture onto a plate or parchment paper and form small balls (since the mixture is thin, it can only be irregularly shaped) and let it set. You can also set it in a small steel or glass cup, but while demolding, run a knife around the edges and demold.
3.Should only glass bowls be used for the double boil method?
No, not at all, you can use any heat resistant bowl, even a steel bowl, but make sure it is dry and does not contain moisture. Also the base of the bowl should touch the boiling water inside.
4.What can I substitute for powdered sugar?
You can also use jaggery, cane sugar, brown sugar or honey.
5. Why is my chocolate grainy and not smooth?
If the mixture is heated too much or not ground properly, it may become grainy. In such a situation, grind it in a mixer until it becomes smooth and then set it in molds.
