I did not know honestly what was the square footage of our 1850 guest cottage on the property. My estimate was around 2K, so I was a super curious to know how close I was. Greatchen made us a solid and all the measurements were all, and while it is not right and I will not hand over it to an engineer, these floor plans are quite good for us and help us understand what we are really working.
As a reminder, we do not plan to move any wall (interested in God), so now the size of the rooms is what they will be later. We will work within the plan of this floor, besides adding a bathroom to steal space from somewhere on the first floor (we have ideas).
Shared Kitchen/Living Room
The first room is weighing in 427 sq ft, which is large enough for a small kitchen, kitchen table and lounge area. I can do a lot with 18 × 23 rooms, right? Here you can see it below:

Now, an architect can come in and can re -exclude it and can move the windows, etc., but I really want to keep plumbing on this side of the house (the up to the toilet is above the kitchen) and when I know that it is not expensive to move a window and fill again, then I also know that you are ready to do other things, then we think about the soldier. A good motto for a remodel is “everything is one thing”.

The only real project I need to help find out where to place the bathroom on this floor. Currently, not only one strange toilet closet on the other floor), and it seems very important, especially if any older people wanted to hang a little here (they are bizarre to say the least stairs). So we are hoping to place plumbing on that corner of the house and placing the bathroom under the stairs-a small toilet, wall-mount sink and shower. But 36, wide, he is very tight, so we may have to exclude that wall a little.

There is still a window question that appears to the non-Kakshkaji chimney, which I think the TV would be a TV if there was a TV in this room, but hell, as long as we are done, the TV will probably not be one thing and robots will smile in our mind because we stare at the walls. Who knows (I am serious in a way, such as we use one of those portable TVs just on wheels and leave a strange window).
Old proper room

This room is super strange, but cute. It has a closet, a post and an old chimney in the middle. See here:

Hmm. Now, of course, seeing this from this scene, if it was opened, the room would be more functional, if it went to the closet, it became a big rectangle. Ugh. Now that I have seen it as a rectangle, it is difficult to ignore it. We are not sure what is catching, so it can be supported to play with anything. But if we wanted a main floor bedroom, it would be a good …

The chimney is one of the few things that I think we can say that it is safe (it is not in good shape and is completely unusable). The window is the second thing, while bizarre, actually affects what we can do on the walls (or not).

Now that I have seen that this room can be a rectangle, I entice a little to make it in the hope of adding a lot of functions. Saying that I will do it yet, but it is a bit attractive.
“Canning” room

As a reminder, this room is away from the main room, it is likely to be built in the 1940s or 1950s, when people in rural America grow and have a lot of their own food. It is large and high and full of capacity (and many problems).

This is going to be a good, square room, which has a super high roof. Canning cabinets will go (they sound as they are), and I am not sure what the windows will remain (both the view is bad, and the windows are in terrible shape).

“Garden Shed”

A good, even 12 × 16 room – look at it! Remember that this is the room that Brian feels that we can lose, but as you can see below, it has so much “attraction”.

It just needs a little help 🙂 is perhaps it’s just a beautiful seating room? a library?

Landing/Bathroom

Growing towards the stairs (which are super narrow, weigh in 36 ″), we reach the landing, and it opens slightly with a huge window. Both the toilet and shower closet are about 4 ′ deep and 3 ′ wide, meaning that if we wanted to leave them there and put a proper bathroom, we could.

Of course, I love the idea of the sink where it is, the bathrooms are essentially remaining where they are (just new), but I am uncertain that once it is fixed, it would be completely strange to see a sink outside the bathroom.

So yes, one step will be to add two “stalls” and make a normal person bathroom. The other will have to be placed as a toilet stall and rebuild the shower stall with tiles, or the shower will have to completely nickens here if one is one and make it a closet. If a family ever is to live here full-time, then all these decisions will be different, but as a guest cottage, I am willing to do so that is easier/bizarre/less expensive for some imaginary guests than to get out completely. But I honestly have not thought about this for a second – like maybe we can add them in a more clever way ??
Top room

What was the possibility of family bedroom, we have some fun quirks.

He is not symmetrical, as you can see with the roof. Certainly, we can probably demo the cell (which is a ton of storage) to the right size, to make them the same, but it is not sure why we will do so. I have this room and all its strange love.

So what is the final square footage?

She weighs in less than 1600 sq ft !! I certainly thought that it was big, because it looks honestly than that when you are inside it (it is empty after all). I think a real bathroom does not help, although we did not include the cupboard upwards, which are very large. It is a super helpful for me to see it in this way, but I really have to control myself to see it and want to say that they want to move the doors, which opens in a few other rooms or get rid of strangeness (such as the proper room closet in the middle of the rectangle).
What will happen next?
Well, I am trying to get many quotes on the foundation, but not the best luck. I really want to do my right hard work, but it is definitely holding the process. This week, we are led by the Oregon Historical Society to learn more about the house and property. Soon on that
