I’ve been in winter hibernation for a few weeks and have finally recovered from the holidays. My social battery is back to normal levels (shhh, I’m still in hibernation). This January, I had nothing to do at night except listen to audiobooks while I organized every event. alone. drawer, making soup on soup, eating healthy, walking/yoga, reading juicy novels (or Books on How to Talk to Our Spirit Guides Or become a better leader), And Apply lots of masks on face, hair and even feet. and you bet sauna blanket And red light therapy was ready for TV binging. Today I’ll be talking about silly but insanely valuable beauty items that make me feel great (yes, even the cheap stuff). I tend to become drier, especially after high cortisol levels and holiday overindulgence. But you see, I have a philosophy that most masks, like most forms of exercise, are worth doing, and very good too. AbsolutelySome are “better” than others, they have better ingredients, they’re more effective, blah blah, but honestly, they almost all improve your skin and make you feel better. The cheaper ones still give that glow and, more importantly, make you feel like you’ve taken care of yourself. I would also theorize that the act of taking time away from others to rub it on your skin, face, and hair sends a pleasant signal to your brain – hey brain, I care about this body.
It all starts with a bath…
Over the years I’ve bought a lot of fancy bath oils (my favorite is still this one). this jo maloneBut it’s too expensive for everyday use), but since I shower a lot in winter, I really only use it Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath In Lavender ($11 for two bottles). It smells good, lathers easily and lasts for 20 baths (a whole month). I don’t like any jars of litter that leave weird layers or residue in my shower that I have to clean off, and that’s not even a favor (a favor to “work” with your comfort??? No thanks.) Oh, and I don’t like stones in my shower, waiting to dissolve to do their “work”. I have feelings.
I recently bought a big jar magnesium pieces (I bought it locally, but found it $9 less on stupid Amazon – Gd you Amazon!!). It’s unscented, so you can add its flakes to bubble bath. There’s a lot of oil, salt and spices in there. I recommend using a scent you like because when you smell it, it tells your brain that it’s time to relax. jo malone fragrance It will always remind me of lockdown, because back then I used it almost nightly, so now it’s a weird nostalgia for me). I don’t have any scrubs I can recommend, but in my experience, they all make your skin very soft, and the good ones tend to be a little better but go away much faster.
After shower, I’m dry brushing and god I love it (I just learned how to do it properly). Now I even dry brush right before bed (it’s so much fun). i already had highdose drybrush, but was given again By a friend who is very good at this stuff as it’s his favorite too (I’m sure it’s more affordable Like this will also work well). PS I don’t believe that dry brushing like a normal person actually gets rid of cellulite (hello, marketing), but it is a huge mood boost and stimulates your largest organ in such a fun way (I have no doubt it does good things for your lymphatic system, but just get sick of slogans like this). and then i’m putting This body butter It was a gift to me from Kai, and I feel like a woman lying in bed – I smell wonderful.
Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum | Exfoliate Intensive Treatment | clay face mask | highdose dry brush | Pure Radiance Foot Mask | Depology Serum-Infused Microdart Patch | Snail Mucin Sheet Mask | Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath | PRDN Collagen Jelly Cream
face masks
I’m not a 1/2 face mask jar kind of person – I love masks. Gel, clay, sheet mask – $2 or $200. I will apply it on my face. I still love Exfolicate “Hollywood 2 Minute Facial” (I would see a different glow for 3 days) And have recently become a complete convert to all things Medicube or any Korean beauty product with good old fashioned salmon sperm. I love This PDRN masks (4 for $20, more for special occasions), but for everyday masks, this is amazing And under a dollar a piece (also Korean PDRN). PDRN is basically salmon sperm DNA (I’m confused TBH) which helps rejuvenate skin cells and promote collagen reproduction. This is both timely And internal. This is no joke, and it’s absolutely worth noting. When it was first recommended to me (like 8 months ago), I stocked up on it because I was so nervous it was going to sell out (it’s weirdly affordable). So now I have all these and I just sweep them off my face:
Allover Gel for Collagen and Skin Barrier Hydration And PDRN Peptides for Perfect Evenness (and Moisture and Plumpness, etc.) – These were my entrances into it; I couldn’t believe how much difference there was in thickness and firmness instantly.
PDNR Jelly – I think it’s more expensive because it has more salmon sperm in it…(LOL). I also love Jess and her friend.
I don’t have a great nighttime moisturizer right now, thus the amount of masks (I need Korean PDNR moisturizer, not just jelly), but I’m trying. Charlotte Tilbury’s “Magic Cream” Because I had a sample pot and it sounds really good. I also got some solid practice Natasha Glasgow, A clean beauty expert who I follow and trust a lot because she doesn’t get paid by brands – follow her. he told me about it InBeauty Project Extreme Eye CreamAnd I have been using it since 2 weeks and really like it (it’s very soft and creamy). Caitlin likes this too 🙂
hair mask
I will try anything for a hair mask. My hair is famously dry, fine, frizzy, and porous (and I adore it) – the real trifecta of “bad”, so I must mask weekly. Here’s what I’m using in January:

Briogeo – I think I got the whole “don’t despair, repair” slogan. love it.
Kerastase – This is something a hair stylist I recommended or sells in his salon. I use it and like it, but can’t tell the difference between the two masks, but trust them.
I just ordered it This one Because its reviews are very good. Listen, once during a two-week shoot, my hair stylist ordered me to apply normal conditioner to my hair, wrap it in Saran wrap, and sleep on it. The next day it was the softest and silkiest it had ever been. So, again, I think if you’re at a real loss, do some research to find what you need, but at the same time, anything is better than nothing, and sometimes the cheap stuff really works in a pinch 🙂

I feel like I could go on… but I’d really love to take a break and force you to watch my first nude photo shoot of 2026. I was too upset to shoot myself applying cream in front of my vanity, so we did that instead, and felt equal parts joy and regret. OK, other important things:
1. Get yourself one waterproof kindle – I read self-improvement books in hard/softback form so I can uncover them and come back to them, but all my fiction is on the Kindle. Then read my reviews for romance novels and get that hand nozzle on!
2. Light a candle – oh. Then again, most candles are made the same size as mine. i love viral heirloom tomatoes From Flamingo Estate and any $8 fancy wannabe from Target (I live too far away from anything).
Before we had a nice tub, I would put a stool next to our small tub and put an iPad on it, throwing it Veronica Mars (Back on Netflix!!), and sit in the tub for an hour. I’m also red-lighting it everywhere. Cap (for well redevelopment), facial mask, And Covering (Yes, I have had partnerships in the past and I am very grateful to have used them). I have now got into the habit of daily use (4-5 times a week), which all the research says works. Red light naturally stimulates collagen and does a billion other good things.
I wouldn’t bother adding it to my supplement routine (I had to buy one). XL Weekly Pill Organizer). I’m dealing with heart inflammation in 2026, 13 big pills at a time. I’m excited to do another round of the Function Health Lab test to see if any of this really worked…
Whatever it was, it turned into a lot of abuse. I stand by my thesis – just like working out, any time you make time for self-care, it’s a net positive, a huge “value add” to the business. If you have some concrete information, leave them in the comments. I love trying new things and I’m your #1 fan for enthusiastic recommendations 🙂
