About Lemon Kiwi Popsicle
Lemon Kiwi Popsicle is ice bar lemonade with kiwi slices. Lemon adds refreshing flavor while kiwi adds mild tang and soft texture when frozen. Both together give a good balance in taste. This combination just works well and doesn’t overpower each other too much.
I love lemon flavor in anything so wanted to try this. Also this is the first time that I am buying kiwi fruit so used it for popsicles. The lemon and kiwi complement each other well so the popsicle is a little tart so adjust the sweetness as per your taste.
It has an icy and smooth texture and has small pieces of kiwi in the middle. When you bite into it, first the strong taste of lemon comes and then gradually the taste of kiwi comes. The look is also attractive with the yellow base and green kiwi slices visible inside. This recipe is very simple and easy to make at home without much effort.
You can adjust the sugar levels or even use orange juice instead of lemon if you want a different taste. If you want, you can also add mint leaves for extra freshness. Flavors can be mixed and tried depending on taste. Children also sometimes enjoy eating different fruits along with kiwi. Instead of buying ice cubes from outside, it feels good to make something homemade.
I make it at home on summer afternoons. It is prepared quickly and even children enjoy putting the kiwi pieces into the molds themselves.

Lemon Kiwi Popsicle Ingredients
- lemon juice – I just used it for base flavor. If lemon seems too spicy then you can also use orange juice.
- Water – I added water to balance the lemon juice and keep it light. If you want more spicy taste of lemon then you can reduce some water.
- Sugar – I add it for sweetness so that the sour taste is well balanced. You can add more or less depending on how sour the lemons are at that time.
- Kiwi – I just used chopped kiwi to fill the inside of the popsicle. It gives good flavor of fruits and gives soft taste while eating.

Expert Tips
- Sugar – I always taste the lemon juice before freezing it. I add the sugar slowly so that it doesn’t become too sour later.
- Kiwi Slicing – I slice the kiwi thinly so that it freezes well and looks nice inside the mold. Thick pieces may seem a little tough when cutting.
- cooling time – I freeze it without opening it in the middle. If I disturb it, the popsicle will not be shaped properly.
- remove popsicle – I expose the mold under running tap water for only a few seconds. If I leave it on longer it melts faster.
- flavor options – I sometimes use orange juice instead of lemon juice for a mild sweet taste. It’s better that way too.
serving and storage
Serve chilled immediately after removing from the mold. It tastes good as a cold afternoon snack or after lunch or dinner. Store leftover popsicles in the freezer, tightly covered. It tastes best when cooked within 3 to 4 days.
