happy Sunday everyone. Well, we hope you enjoyed reading what we posted this week ๐Ÿ™‚ We are so proud and happy. In case you missed it, Arlene wrote a beautiful piece about folk art, Emily talked about the real cost of guest cottage foundation repair, then Em gave The Carly a fabulous holiday makeover, and Em reimagined her living room with a sofa designed for her! Of course, there was a lot more that you could easily visit the site to see, but see what we mean?? exciting stuff! And before we jump to those links, we have something fun to share…tomorrow we’re publishing the Moto reveal you’ve been waiting for, wow!!! Okay, time for the link.

This week’s home tour It’s the home of none other than the great Diane Keaton. Eddy redecorated his 2008 Beverly Hills Spanish Colonial Revival, and it’s as timeless as you’d hope. I’m sure most of us have his infamous design book, The house that Pinterest builtWhat a gift she was to all of us, and we are so grateful for everything she created.

From Emily: As you know, I think Madewell does the barrel gin more than any other brand (IMHO). Others’ waists are too high or too flared or too long, but their waists are still getting slimmer despite having “big pants.” I have the mid-wash denim and cream, and am very happy to see that they are expanding (and selling) the line in the same profile, like this mossy green onealso there is Now a denim version with front cargo pocket (which I always love) which keeps selling out, but many sizes are still in stock. I would size down 1-2 sizes depending on fit. These aren’t made to be tight, but they’re quite a size, and Madewell sizes are hard to come by anyway. So I have them in two sizes โ€“ one for those days when I want them to sit higher on my hips, and one for when I want them to sit higher on the waist and fit more on my butt.

From Jess: Look, I’m not here to cause trouble, but since Emily posted about her favorite PJs last week, I thought I might throw my new darling jammies into the ring too. The brand is Hanes, heard of it? Laugh out loud. They’re impossibly soft, lightweight, totally affordable, and I even feel good in them, which isn’t mandatory but is still a fun bonus. I wear shorts Around my waist, and I would say they fit true to size. However, if you want a little more room or want to wear them less, consider going up a size. Oh, and I love the color I got, which was, of course, Stargazer Grey. I got it too shirt In my normal size, and it fits me perfectly. Now, it was the first cold rainy day of the season in LA, so I’m heavily considering getting it pants For a warmer option ๐Ÿ™‚ I really can’t recommend them enough!!

From Arlene: I have a long history of spending insane amounts of money on skin care and makeup, but these days, when it seems like everything costs about a semester’s college tuition, I’ve been working on finding some alternatives. I had very good luck This $15 ELF Halo Glow “Filter” I wrote about this summer, and I’m happy to report that I found another drugstore favorite. No.7 Serum FoundationIt works well for my combination skin, glides on easily, covers well, but feels very airy, and leaves a subtle glow without looking greasy. I’ve applied it with both my fingers and a foundation brush, and each did a good job. For around $18, I can’t really ask for much more than that.

From Mallory: You guys, I’m so obsessed with this… I’ve never been a nail girl because I don’t have the patience to sit in a nail salon, but I’m really trying because I love the feeling of getting my nails done. My nails are also very thin, so to keep them longer, they need to be painted (I also cut them sometimes, oops). Anyway, enter the least annoying nail solution I’ve ever seen: dazzle dryMy best friend was visiting from New York, and she said she was driving (far away) from the Upper East Side to Brooklyn monthly to get these Russian manicures, but her commitment had increased over time. So she started researching every home nail solution and found one. She also said that she sounds like a snake oil salesman with how hard she works to sell this product to people, but it’s not snake oil – it’s just that good. However, the problem with most at-home nail solutions is that the polish takes a long time to dry (and thus stains) or you have to let the entire gel set, which also takes a lot of time. You apply this thing on your nails and it dries instantly. Like within a minute. This is madness. And the best part is that it is a gel, so it is long lasting. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

From Caitlin: I’m obsessed with my links too, hahaha. Remember how I praised PBS Passport? I hope I sold you, because I just came across the greatest TV show of all time: antiques road trip(The screaming emphasis is mine. And it’s appropriate.) Here’s the rub: A pair of antiques experts pair up, hop into a beautiful classic car, and wander through England’s finest charity shops, vintage stores, and antique emporiums. It’s technically a competition show โ€“ albeit a good-natured one in the Great British Bake Off tradition โ€“ that pits our experts against each other in an auction, but it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch that may scratch your shopping itch from the comfort of your sofa. The best part? There are 30 seasons and 905 episodes to watch. I really can’t imagine a more relaxing show this winter โ€“ I’m so glad to have found it. (And if any of you have HGTV influence, please bring something like this to America! I just want to see people choosing! It’s so fun to see what the experts gravitate towards, and why! Can you tell I’m a woman obsessed?!)

From Gretchen: I was in desperate need of a new phone case because the one I bought a few years ago has finally worn out. The rubber is coming off in pieces, and while it’s fun to peel it off bit by bit when I get bored, my friends are starting to judge me… but not without a recommendation to solve the problem! Two of my friends influenced me to get a new case from Casemate (a brand they swear by) and I jumped at the chance This oneI have the painted purple iPhone 14 Pro, and I love how it looks through the clear, shiny cover. I won’t go back to the rubberized cases because they apparently make me dirty, but I did pick this up too. Rubberized, suction-cup phone mount To get free shipping. you can buy it cheap adhesive only backingBut I hooked myself up with the MagSafe version so I could take it on and off to use my other magnetic phone mounts. I’ve been eyeing these suction-style selfie-mounts for a while, so I’m excited to try it out. But I’m more excited to have a phone case that doesn’t look like I picked it out of the trash! Bonusโ€“looks like it will actually last!

From Marlee: Well..it’s cold now (and we’re not turning on the heat yet), so as someone who hates the cold, here are my absolutely non-negotiable items to make the seasonal change easier. First and foremost, My favorite slippers everOK, I guess they’re not technically slippers since they don’t actually “slip” on (like a bootie!), but ankle protection is essential! You have to keep the toes and ankles warm…these are very comfortable and I wear them every day. Fun fact, did you know that Uggs were invented to keep surfers’ feet warm after getting out of the cold ocean?? next: my warm blanketThis thing really makes movie nights extra cozy. It has 4 temperature settings and switches off automatically after a certain amount of time! At the end, my favorite thermos Mug – I don’t know anyone who forgets about their freshly brewed tea more than me… With this, you can pour it and forget about it, then come back an hour later and enjoy your *very* strongly brewed (and still hot) cup!

Thanks for stopping by, and see you tomorrow for a big moto unveiling!!! xx
