Here I have used onions, capsicum, sweet corn in this pizza, you can use any of your favorite toppings like cheese, mushrooms, olives, broccoli and the variations are endless.
Making homemade pizza for the last 10 years. Every time I get a lot of compliments from friends and family for my pizza so I would like to post this recipe here. I’ve tried several variations of this recipe and it works every time. I have also tried half-and-half with whole wheat flour and completely with whole grain flour and the end result is great.

This veg pizza recipe is my favorite recipe as I have made it many times with perfect results. This veggie pizza recipe gives the best quality crust with cheesy taste just like in the restaurant, so try it and enjoy!
The best pizza is made in a hot wood-fired oven using a pizza stone. Our ovens may not produce the same results but the pizza still tastes great. I am sure that once you make pizza at home, you will never look back to order pizza again.
You have the freedom to customize it as per your choice. The crust, toppings, everything can be customized. Isn’t this great?! This recipe is food proof that even beginners can try and enjoy!
Instead of baking with toppings for the full 20 minutes, first bake the base alone for 12 minutes at 200°C, then arrange the toppings with cheese and bake again for 8 minutes at 210°C… Here’s where you’ll find your perfect pizza!!?


I love pizza…who doesn’t?! I was putting it off Veg Pizza Recipe Just because I had to write more. Also, I wanted to compile all the pictures step by step and with variations.
There’s no doubt that this recipe is a keeper, but I made adjustments here and there every now and then and finally I got the recipe. Best PizzaSo now pizza will not be available from the restaurant. I have tried two versions, a normal version which I posted here and a low fat one Whole Wheat Pizza.

Veggie Pizza Ingredients
- Flour – Use flour or plain flour. You can also try replacing half the flour with wheat flour for a healthier pizza.
- yeast – I used active dry yeast which worked perfect. First bloom the yeast separately to check whether it is active or not, then proceed further if you are not sure about the activation.
- Sugar – Sugar balances the flavor and also helps the yeast bloom.
- Milk – Milk and water are mixed to make pizza dough.
- Pizza Sauce – You can make homemade pizza sauce or use store bought pizza sauce.
- Topping – I have used onion, capsicum, corn and cheese.
- Cheese – Use good quality grated mozzarella cheese.
How to make Veg Pizza step by step
- Take flour in a mixing bowl, add yeast and salt to it.


2. Mix well, keep aside. Take lukewarm water in another mixing bowl.


3. Add milk, oil and sugar.


4. Mix well until the sugar dissolves. Now mix this mixture in flour.


5.Bring it together. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes and make it smooth. Wrap and keep aside for at least 1 hour or until the dough has doubled in size. When you check after an hour, the dough will have risen well.


6. Apply oil on the pizza baking tray, sprinkle flour and keep it ready. Now press the dough down if there are air bubbles and then keep it aside in a warm place. Roll out the dough a little thick.


7. Place it in a baking tray and spread it slightly so that it forms a neat circle. Press it well so that it becomes uniform. Press the edges with the back of a spoon to create a rim effect. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.


8.Now prick with a fork in the middle to ensure even cooking.


9. Brush well with oil/milk to get uniform browning. Bake the base for 12 minutes or until the edges and center are golden.


10. Spread pizza sauce, I have used readymade pizza sauce. – First add half the grated cheese.


11. Then arrange the toppings – I have used onion, sweet corn, capsicum. Then add remaining grated cheese, sprinkle oregano and chili flakes. Bake it again at 210°C for 8-10 minutes or until the pizza turns golden brown and the cheese melts.


Cut the pizza with a pizza cutter/knife, make wedges and enjoy hot and delicious pizza! serve hot! And now it’s pizza time, let’s dig deeper.


Expert Tips
- You can also bake the pizza with the toppings and cheese for 20 minutes, but since I want a golden crust and gooey cheese, I do it that way. If you bake it with toppings, you won’t get a golden crust like in restaurants, plus if you overbake to get a crust, the toppings get overcooked, so I use this method of baking.
- The dough should not be sticky, if it is then add a little more flour and knead again until it becomes less sticky.
- I have used white flour here, you can also replace it with 50% wheat flour.
- Once the base is baked, you do not need to reheat. Simply arrange the toppings and bake it.
- I used instant yeast, so added it directly to the flour. If you are using active dry yeast (measurement in the ingredients list), proof it by adding it to the milk water mixture, if it bubbles nicely the yeast is active, you can proceed.
service and storage
Veggie pizza is best when served hot! If you want to make pizza for a party or get together, then prepare the toppings and then prepare the dough. Bake and serve hot.

- ⅛ cup Oil
- 1 small spoon Sugar

- 1 tablespoon pizza sauce
- 2 tablespoon onion cut lengthwise
- 2 tablespoon Capsicum in every color
- 2 tablespoon sweet corn kernels ripe
- one and a half cup mozzarella cheese
- ¼ small spoon oregano
- ¼ small spoon Chili flakes
