About Mushroom Pasta
Mushroom pasta is a white sauce based dish made using pasta, mushrooms, cheese, butter and milk. This is one of the easiest pasta recipes and tastes almost restaurant-style. It is not spicy but is full of garlic, herbs and mushroom flavours. This is a great one-pot dish for weeknight meals or even small parties.
You can make this using any pasta you have on hand like fusilli, penne or even macaroni. Simply boil it soft, mix it with white sauce and add to cooked vegetables. White sauce is made using butter, a little flour and milk. Children also like it because it is not spicy but creamy. You can make it more delicious when served to children.
The mushrooms cook quickly and absorb the butter and spices well. It becomes rich and nutritious when mixed with pasta. You can also add capsicum, onion, corn or any other vegetable of your choice. You can also use colored bell peppers for added color. They add good flavor and texture to the dish.
When I had some mushrooms left I tried this recipe and it turned out really delicious. It became a hit at home and now I make it often, especially on lazy nights. This is a perfect casual dinner to end a weekday night.

- mushroom -Button mushroom works best. Clean them thoroughly and cut them thinly. It cooks fast and gives a soft juicy taste in every spoonful.

- butter – Used for frying garlic and vegetables. This gives a smooth, rich base for the sauce.
- Fine flour – Only one spoon is enough to make the sauce thick. Do not add too much otherwise it will taste like flour.

- grated cheese – Makes pasta more rich and creamy. Use mozzarella or any processed cheese you have. You can add more if you are making for children.
- mixed herbs -Tastes like pizza. Instead of this you can also use oregano and chili flakes.
- freshly ground black pepper – Add a small pinch. This reduces the creaminess and gives a good balance in taste.

- Serve it hot – Do not wait too long after cooking. Pasta tastes best when hot and fresh. If you keep it, it may dry up.
- to cook – Fry for just a few minutes. It should become soft but not too mushy. When you eat food, you should take small bites.
serving and storage
Mushroom pasta is served hot as soon as it is cooked. You can serve it with garlic bread or soup for a complete meal. It is also good to have as a light dinner or brunch.
If it becomes dry after cooling, then add some hot milk to it and heat it lightly. Avoid keeping it for too long as the sauce may become too thick. Store any leftover pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use it within 1 day for best taste.
