Expert Tips
- cooking pasta – I cook the pasta until it is soft but not too mushy. I check in between so that it doesn’t overcook and lose its shape.
- cooking vegetables – I cook the vegetables only for a few minutes so that they remain slightly crisp. Overcooking will make it soft and not good in texture.
- adding salt – I always check the salt before adding it at the end. There is already salt in the pasta so I add a little slowly.
- Sauce consistency – I add water little by little to adjust the consistency. I don’t make it too dry or too watery.
- mixture – I add the pasta gently at the end so it doesn’t break up. I sometimes also add a little butter at the end for extra flavor.
serving and storage
Serve bow tie pasta hot as it tastes better when hot. It also tastes good as dinner or evening meal. Keep leftovers in the refrigerator and use within a day. While reheating I sprinkle some water so that it does not dry out.
