    About Sev Papdi

    Sev Papdi Chaat is made using papdi, onion, mashed potatoes, sev, raw onion and coriander leaves. Making Sev Papdi Chaat at home is very easy, once you have prepared the ingredients you just have to assemble it.

    Serve it immediately after assembling the ingredients. Isn’t it easier to make your own sev at home?! Then what are you waiting for ?! Surprise your guests with homemade Sev Papdi.     Sev Papdi Ingredients

    • Papdi – Readymade papdis are available in stores, you can buy them or make them at home.
    • Potato – Cook the potatoes until they become soft and mash them.
    • lick the chutneys – Green chutney and sweet chutney are added.
    • spice powder – Chaat masala powder, roasted cumin powder is added.
    • save – Add Bhujia/Sev for garnishing for crunch.
    • Onion – Adding raw onion as garnish gives good taste.

    How to make Sev Papdi step by step

    1. Keep all the materials ready. First of all, take out papdis (6-7) in a plate, then cut potatoes and raw onion and add them.

    2. Then add chopped tomatoes to it. Sprinkle sweet date chutney, green chutney and then add chopped raw mango pieces, sprinkle chaat masala powder and salt. If you are using it then add lemon juice to it. Finally add good amount of sev and garnish with chopped coriander.

    Follow the same procedure for the next plate also. Prepare the ingredients and assemble it when serving.

    • The measurements for the chat do not need to be adapted to the recipe – you can very well adjust it to your liking.
    • I have used store bought aloo bujhiya sev, but ompodi (thin sev variety) tastes best.
    • If you want to make your own version of Dahi Sev Papdi then you can also add some curd to it.

    • 12 to 14 crust
    • one and a half cup save
    • ¼ cup boiled mashed potatoes
    • ¼ cup onion chopped

    • 1 tablespoon green chutney
