About Masala Vermicelli
Masala Sevai Idiyappam is made using onions, tomatoes herbs and spices. A lot of spices are added to it, hence it is named Masala Vermicelli. It can be served for breakfast or dinner, it tastes great on its own, it does not require any side dishes.
Last time we visited my sister’s place, she served this along with other breakfast items. As soon as I tasted it, I loved it because it had all the flavors I loved. So I took the recipe from them and recreated it in my kitchen and here is the recipe for you all.

Masala Vermicelli Ingredients
- Idiyappam – I have used homemade idiyappam. You can also use store bought readymade idiyappam.
- onion, tomato – Fry onion and tomato properly and use it.
- spice powder – Turmeric, red chilli and garam masala powder are used.
- tempering Oil is heated and then tadka is made with fennel, curry leaves, cinnamon and cloves.
