I find that a lot of casual stretchy pants look like pajama pants on me (or downright crappy). The pockets were in the wrong place, bulkiness was added in the wrong place at the hips, and they were so long and oversized (totally ineffective, imho). But my desire for easy-to-wear soft pants (that don’t look like sweat) won out, and I ordered a bunch to see which lightweight, summer-weight pants were actually flattering. I scored. I may never wear tight pants again.

Also, really quick about Quince (non-spawn) – I’m starting to think that they test their clothes/shoes on real people (not just fitted models where everything drapes perfectly on them). The cuts are attractive, and the tailoring is simple and nice, with no need to cut or pull or hug anything at the waist. I was skeptical, thinking that for that price, they would be cheaply dropped, or cut/pasted to proportions and not to actual bodies. I was wrong. I get publicity.

Now in Quince couldn’t have looked more boring on the site, but with so many good reviews (and for $42, I was very intrigued), and they were so easy to style. all of you, you have to take them away from me. They’re soft on the waist (they don’t cut in at all with the wide waistband), and light enough to make you feel like you’re wearing nothing. Linen fabric is soft (not stiff, but not so light that you can see underwear lines). The pockets are large and well placed and still easily hold my phone (great for house cleaning, since I can keep my phone in my pocket for my podcasts).

They are a little thin and fit perfectly on the ankle. They come in a variety of colors, look dressy, should you want to wear them to work, and run true to size (I’m wearing a small). They don’t hug anywhere, but still have a nice shape. 15/10. Oh and shirt New from J.Crew and a slightly stretchy, loose, ultra-lightweight button-up that’s so thin and easy to tuck 1/2. Not linen, but just as comfortable/easier to wear. Dear my new sperrys, scarfAnd Cap From mango. belt bag There is also quince and is of extremely high quality.

in Similar but in a lighter color (and in a medium that was much larger). I wanted to show you so you can see the pockets better. I returned the medium and ordered a small one in this color. Sweater Quince is a cardigan that is layered (detailed) and high quality. In case you missed the cozy spring flats post, those huaraches were at the top of the list. Incredible.

these pull-on pants A little stretchy, yet still lightweight, making for a “cargo meets jogger” and an absolutely great spring/summer/fall pant. They have good structure and fit perfectly. Perfect for running around urban pants – very comfortable and still looks good! The waist is roomy and comfortable, with some elastic and a nice draw string.

    Cap | shirt | pants | Shoes

i bought that long sleeve shirt In two stripes – it’s slim, classic, easy to layer, and has a beautiful dropped shoulder. shout out to my first bucket hat – Turns out that if a trend persists long enough, eventually I join in 🙂

These wide-leg linen pants Are magnificent and very attractive. Don’t sleep on Aritzia, friends. They look a little more girly than quince, but are still comfortable, breathable, and lightweight. They’re really wide leg, straight down to the hip, and the length is perfect. They feel like great summer work pants for those who need to go to the office.

These sit below your waist, which I definitely like (as a small torso, large busted woman, I can’t do high waist). Big fan of his.

winner Winner Chicken Dinner. These lightweight parachute cargo pants Are 20/10. they are perfect. They sit well on the hip without being uncomfortably cut, are very lightweight but still structured enough to be really flattering (they’re cut to give a nice gap between the legs).

    sunglasses | sweatshirt | pants | Shoes

You can unzip the bottom to make them regular pants, but I like the “warming up” vibe of the pants. i wore it with my gap hoodie (fine wash of blue) and leather samba. I also bought these pants in dark brown because they are 50% off with buy one get one. Size down, I’m wearing an XS with some great extra room.

    Cap | shirt | pants | sandals

Wide-leg version of Quince tapered pants are also amazing, and I was tempted to keep both. The fit is fantastic – loose, soft and easy to take on and off. Wide leg vs tapered is just a style choice, and I found tapered more attractive, or maybe more my style. But they’re both really amazing. These are excellent and look beachy and casual, but I think could absolutely be workwear with a cute sweater and ballet flats.

this cloth on these pants There is magic (I think it’s Tencel). It drapes very well and has a nice weight to it. It’s still lightweight (not like linen) and easy to wear with a casual, cargo vibe. This color is no longer available, but navy is available instead (which I probably would have bought originally if they had it, but I’m glad I got it because I have other navy pants).

    scarf | sunglasses | cardigan | pants | Shoes

cardigan It’s boxy with slimmer arms, perfect for layering over t-shirts (I sized it up to medium to make sure I could layer it easily). big fan. rothi slide Horsebits are very comfortable and still feel attractive.

This was my attempt to dress up These linen slacks For those who have office jobs and want their summer weight linen pants to have more of a heft. These are fantastic. They have an elastic waist in the back, but in the front it’s pleated with a button and zipper (so technically not stretchable but extremely comfortable). They’re long, so I had to wear heels so they wouldn’t stretch. They’re not something I need in my capsule collection because I don’t really take personal meetings from the waist down, but I’m happy to say that for all you office ladies out there, these are really great. Same light soft linen, with good structure, but still very comfortable. True to size (I’m wearing a small) and not cut out at all, with a medium to high waist.

These are amazing, wide-leg, stretch-cropped pants Which are as comfortable as sweats, but look like slacks. Super cute with the front pockets, and then they wrap straight down and out, with a really nice structure for how comfortable they are. Absolutely very well made. Even without an office job, I’m keeping these because I find these to be classic staples that would normally be obstructive or inconvenient. Too, that linen shirt Washes very well, and these nude ballet flats are extremely comfortable and flattering (even for us ladies with wide feet).

Another surprising thing Casual Structured Pair of SlacksAnd this time a real fight. These are a bit thick, flexible and look very expensive. They’re cargo pants + joggers, and I think they could be worn to the office, or just with sneakers or flip flops.

shirt | scarf (same) Bag (Not Available) | sunglasses | pants | belt | Shoes

I bought these in both a small (navy) and medium (green), and they both fit really well (one is tight, but I also liked the green ones which were a little looser).

shirt | scarf (similar) | Bag (Not Available) | sunglasses | pants | belt | Shoes

I like where they hit the ankles, I like the tapered curve at the bottom (which is perfectly tailored), and they’re actually slimming because of how comfortable they are.

    Cap | scarf | cardigan | pants | Shoes

navy blue (Small) fits better and may be a more universally easy color to wear. Big fan of these pants – so comfortable, flattering, versatile with the wide waistband, but not too wide a waistband that feels like wearing sweats. cardigan Also made from quince and is very easy to layer, making it a great spring night sweater.

    Cap | scarf | cardigan | pants | Shoes

So if you (like me) are terrified that comfortable stretch on pants is useless, I hope this post helps. When I started shopping for this post, I was skeptical that I’d find anything I’d be excited to wear, and I’m so happy to say I was wrong. are my favorite thin linen Quince, from American Eagle stretch cargo pants, ripstop pantsAnd These thick stretchy joggers. Oh, and if you like camo, these pull-on pants Pilcro (Anthropologie) came after our shoot, but they are amazing.
