Happy Sunday and happy long Memorial Weekend to those of you lucky enough to get the day off. Also, Happy Eid to those who will be celebrating Eid this upcoming week! This week, we announced our Velux Room Makeover winner, and we hope you’re as excited about it as we are. It really is one of the best parts of this job to help extremely qualified people create a home that they love and in which they feel safe. Isn’t this what everyone wants and should be? We think so. Okay, on to this week’s link…

This week’s home tour This is so amazing. This is Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam’s home, a newly built cabin on a lake in British Columbia…so dreamy. The staircases and fireplaces are unreal, and every room is thoughtfully designed. The designer described the style as “a modern-mountain-chalet-meets-a-grandma’s-farmhouse-in-England”. enjoy!

From Emily: Two super affordable coverups and a fabulous summer strappy maxi dress. During the annual (and always a little *oops)) 2026 swimsuit review I discovered Cupshe, who seems to specialize in suits that are good for curves (ie, flattering the tummy and supporting the breasts). The suits I bought fit very well, especially the ones where you can choose the cup size. They reached out for a social partnership, and I tried out more of their resort wear, which is not something I usually have a good list of, and I really, really liked three of those pieces. black and cream maxi dress It was so attractive and appealing because it was so affordable. It even has pockets! i wore my “cake” Here, but if you have a smaller chest, you won’t actually need to wear a bra (or you’ll just wear it over your swimsuit). I don’t like strappy dresses, but this one has great straps.

this flowing cover Amazing because it has a pattern, but it’s not too loud and in a neutral color, I don’t feel like I’m drawing too much attention to myself (says the girl who loves the bright red suit). with black halter suit Underneath, it felt like a very easy-to-wear poolside outfit that had just the right amount of cover-up.

This white button-up cover-up Super drapey and just the right size. It’s roomy in the arms and armpits and doesn’t cling anywhere, but is somehow still flattering and falls well (and it comes in other colors, if you’re like me and white means it’s going to be orange with my spray tan). Anyway, I was pretty impressed with how cute these were for the price.

From Arlene: I’m not really one for seasonal decorating, except for Christmas and the occasional fall porch-scape, but I accidentally landed on H&M Home’s “Americana Edit” page And honestly, and surprisingly, I love it all! small sardine plates And matching tablecloth are precious, Red Bistro Silverware This is the best price I’ve ever seen for a set like this, and that doesn’t even get me started These super cute placemats With unique pocket detail for flatware. So good, all of it, and makes me anxious for summer except the heat, humidity and mosquitoes.

From Mallory: You know how fancy dresses are expensive, and then sometimes you only really wear them once?? I’m at the age where weddings are happening like every month, and I knew there had to be a better way to find fabulous wedding guest dresses that wouldn’t break the bank. I had three weddings just last month (one of which was a destination wedding in Puerto Rico), and I was struggling with what to wear — until my sister told me about it. fashion pass. Basically, it’s a clothes rental company like Rent the Runway or Nuuli, and I’d heard of it before, but she swore they had some great outfit options for wedding guests, and she wasn’t wrong!! My sister uses these rental companies monthly because she works in a corporate office, and finding things to wear can be difficult, but since I work from home, I never thought that clothing rental would be my thing. Well, this was the best use case ever!! Their intro offer is $75 per month, and you get 5 items and one accessory, and you can swap items twice a month. So I went to a wedding in early May and ordered this dress with this purseAnd then the next week I went to Puerto Rico and swapped this dress with this purse. I was also able to snag This Farm Rio Dress Also for the rehearsal dinner cover up, this dress To visit in the city, and much more. That last dress I bought because I liked it so much (you also get a discount if you buy it, which is great). They also give you a bag with a printed returns label, so returns are very easy, and then new orders are usually at your door in 2 days. I’ll probably hold off on the subscription after this month, but if you have a trip coming up or a special event where you want some fresh outfits without the price tag, I can’t recommend it enough!

From Caitlin: Happy start to summer! I’m celebrating Delaware’s recent 90-degree heatwave by busting out my favorites leather sandals. I bought them last year, and it took a minute to adjust to the cut – it feels different than your standard flip flop! – They’re my favorite shoes for everything. (Like, seriously, everything. I assembled a 15′ UHaul, said UHaul, and then unloaded the aforementioned UHaul while wearing these sandals. Not even closed-toe shoes! They’re so comfortable, they now mold to my feet.) I love the unexpected shapes and they’re made of completely natural materials. They’re not on sale this weekend, but they’re already a bargain at $75. Highly recommended if you’re looking to update your sandal selection!

From Marley: I’m wearing these shoes Every day in fact, and I won’t be stopping anytime soon…they’re super comfortable and easy to wear with any outfit. Of course, every time I wear them, someone comments how cute they are – they are a hit with compliments!! The colorway I have is full price, but there are some other cute colors that are 35% off this weekend 🙂

From Gretchen: I know I’ve shared this genius product before, but I need to emphasize it one more time. it Table behind the sofa from Ikea Will always be my favorite. I have four of these units – three sit behind my sofa and one I use as a side table, joining with the other three to form an L shape. These tables are very affordable, rest very well, are designed to look and work well on top of each other, and when draped over the back of the sofa, give the 70s conversation vibe I want. Needless to say, they provide ample storage and table top space. But recently I realized how much I value their versatility. I had a friend coming over, and we just needed a show with our dinner, but there was no room to put our food in front of us (I gave up my coffee table for more floor space). So I grabbed two of these tables from behind my couch and placed them in front of us. They worked perfectly! Now I can add “TV tray” to their list of use cases.

From Jess: This song, boy in red By Isaiah Rashad and SZA, has been on repeat for at least a week. Their entire album is incredible, but this one has me spellbound!

Thanks for hanging out with us today. If you’re in the market for some new things, don’t miss our Memorial Day Sales post (Caitlin works hard on these). See you tomorrow!
