In Hindi ‘Dahi’ means curd and ‘Vada’ is donut shaped crispy salty snack hence Dahi Vada means vada in curd. If you have leftover medu vada then making dahi vada is quick and easy, it tastes very tasty.

I had some extra medu vadas the previous day and used them for this – but you can also shape them like bonda if you want. I have many friends who ask me how to shape the vada, it comes with practice, I have shared all the tips and tricks I have learned during my medu vada making journey.
