happy Sunday everyone! We hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day in some way or the other. We also hope you’re ready for a really amazing project we’re unveiling tomorrow! We know this is going to be a bit frustrating, but until then here are this week’s links to tide you over 🙂
This week’s home tour Is a solid contender for favorite hour tour of the year! Yond Interiors Really does some of the most amazing layered, more neutral, but pattern-filled projects, and this is no different. It’s hard to choose a favorite element, but don’t miss the tiles 🙂

From Emily: I was going to write a whole post about my favorite day trips from Portland (I’m becoming an expert), but I wanted to make it available now for everyone who loves to plan like I do. For Mother’s Day, I planned my perfect weekend, which included the devil wears prada 2 (Liked it and still disappointed – wrote about substack), followed by a quick 36-hour climb up the valley to Hood River. we did Hood River Rail Bike RideWhich was 10/10 fun. It’s a splurge (think nice theater tickets), but it’s 3 1/2 hours of active, outdoorsy, and still easy family entertainment. The views were incredible (over rivers/bridges, along waterfalls, mountain views), you stopped halfway for wine and ice cream, and the kids felt like it was a ride because it’s electric assisted (turbo!). then we stayed here Society In Bingen, which has an entire Scandi hydrotherapy circuit that kids love (hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, repeat). The next day we did the Mosier Plateau Wildflower Hike (the kids didn’t like the climbing part), which was incredible and a great way to spend the morning (took an hour and 1/2, 3.5 miles. We ended up at our favorite post-hike lunch spot, Sugar Pine (the best soft serve), where I had the longest line I’ve ever seen in my life (45 minutes to order, another 45 for food. minutes), but it’s so tempting to be somewhere where we don’t mind (I think Mother’s Day is their busiest day of the year, LOL) After that, I read my book in the backyard first year – Book + burn) and saw the greatest showman With children. But to all of you out there this gorge, this is your reminder to get 45 minutes out of the city and see what I think is one of the most spectacular places on the planet. Hood River FTW (this is also a reminder for you to plan your Mother’s Day :)) We’re celebrating my mom (and my dad’s birthday) today with a barbecue at our house, which works better for everyone’s schedule 🙂
From Jess: It was time for a new body wash, so I decided to try Naturium. This is an affordable skin care line that people really love! This one, Multi-Peptide Advanced Body WashAnd this one, Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body WashThose were two extraordinary things that I have seen. I chose the multi-peptide one because I don’t think my skin likes a lot of oils, but for those that do, it seems to be great. I figure that since I spend a lot of money on my facial skin, it’s probably worth trying a body wash that might do a little more work for me. The lather is rich, it’s fragrance-free (great for sensitive skin, which is reflected in the reviews), and the ingredients get me very excited 🙂 Plus, it’s only $18 for about 17oz. I’ll take it!
From Gretchen: I’m sure most of you have heard about Nuully-A monthly apparel rental subscription that lets you choose certain looks to wear and return (or buy and keep) each month. But did you know that shops like Anthropologie Really Works With Newly’s Reselling some of these items once the styles are gone? Now, I’m not usually one to gamble, and when things are on “final sale” you have to do that, but when I saw these pilcro jeans Marked down by more than 80%, I took my chances. And luckily, it paid off! The jeans fit great and appeared to be in “like new” condition. However, not all reviews say this, so proceed with caution when purchasing. I thought jeans were a pretty safe bet, compared to sweaters that could potentially come with snags or pilling. But I have to say, I was very happy with what I got! Hot Tip: Search item name in Nuuly to see real customer reviews and photos before purchasing. Because of that feedback I knew exactly what size of jeans to order, and which items to add to my cart.
From Marlee: Almost exactly a year ago, I shared a 6-month-old Quince linen bedding review with you all (5 stars at the time), and with all the Quince chatter on the blog lately, I think I’m ready for an update. i am using it now linen duvet and this linen sheet set For 1.5 years, and during that time I didn’t sleep on any other bed. I can confirm that it holds up – in fact, it’s only getting better! Like any linen, it’s definitely a little stiff at first, but after a few washes it becomes completely soft. Now that I have had it for 1.5 years, it is very soft, and has no signs of leakage or wear and tear. i have that linen duvet in mist And set sheets in Aloe, which I believe they discontinued, but there are Same greens available. my sister has dusty bright colorAnd it’s so beautiful in person. I have family/friends visit me and they always comment on how comfortable my bed is! It’s still an investment, but it’s significantly more affordable than a lot of beds and it’s worth it considering you use it every night.
From Caitlin: This Soft, fleece cool barrel sweatpants Came into my life sometime last year, and I’m going to level with you: They’re the only pants I want to wear. (To be fair, I’m still living out of the suitcase I packed last October, so my choices are quite limited.) But still – I have four pairs of sweats in this house (two from Gap, one from Target) yet these are my favorites, bar none. They’re incredibly comfortable, the wool feels like a warm embrace to your foot, and I’ve found that they still aren’t too heavy despite the rapidly rising temperatures. Most of my sweats scream “I’m sweatpants”, so I love that the lofty shape of these doesn’t make me feel like a complete shlub when I’m running to Wawa or Lowe’s. I throw them in the wash once a week, and they wear like a dream – put these on your Memorial Day wish list if you’re in the market to buy some cozy clothes!
From Arlene: I’ve already expressed my love for the easiest way to increase your daily fiber content, but I thought it was time for a gentle reminder (i.e., tough love gets more fiber, people!). During my move, I gave up everything I knew made me feel good and cared for, but I’m slowly regaining my self-control and discipline. So on my most recent trip to the market, I bought some olipop again. About a year ago, it was recommended to me by my dietitian, whom I deeply trust, and for me, it’s been wonderful. Every day I drink it it adds about 9 grams of fiber to my diet, and it doesn’t upset my stomach. Some people complain that the root mixture in it is irritating, so you just need to test it out. Most grocery stores sell these separately, so only try one or two before committing to a pack as they can be expensive. My favorite flavors so far: Orange Squeeze, Classic Grape, Vintage Cola, Cherry Cola. There are even some new ones I haven’t tried yet!
From Mallory: Remember in 2020 when everyone was getting standing desks and walking pads?? Well, it took me 6 years to get on board, but it has changed my life. Sitting for 8 hours straight can be damaging to the body, and while I love to get out and walk (and I still do), it can be time consuming to do it every day, and yes the girl has to get her work done! When I moved into my boyfriend’s house, he had a standing desk downstairs, so I’d been thinking about getting a walking pad for a while. Then a girl in my gym was talking about me This one (locker room convos lol), and I was surprised to find out it cost less than $150…so I thought, why not give it a try? You guys, this is awesome. It has a handlebar that you can bring up if you don’t want to use it with a standing desk, but then it folds up, so it’s easy to store. Now the first question everyone asks me is “Can you actually type on that thing,” and the answer is: I’m typing this because I’m getting my stapes, so yes. I will say that there is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you can really just switch to it, and I find myself being much more productive every day. If you’re like me and you want to get your body more active for the sake of your mental health, but aren’t sure where you’ll find the time, this is a real game-changer!!
Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow!! xx
