Many children do not like to eat green vegetables and I was one of them. So this is one of the healthier ways to serve any variety of spinach to kids. I am sure kids will not complain and will eat this paratha as the green color is also attractive. It is easy and quick to make for breakfast and is also healthy.

About Palak Paratha
Palak Paratha is made by first cooking the spinach, pureeing it and mixing it with wheat flour into a dough, then rolling it and frying it until golden spots appear here and there. Palak Paratha or Palak Paratha is a great healthy variation of the usual parathas.
Methi Paratha For the first time I had saag in paratha and I liked it the first time. After making it, I had some spinach greens left. Spinach Dal So thought of making parathas from it. I came across this Masala Palak Paratha and tried it for the first time and must say I liked it a lot, despite me not being a huge fan of vegetables.

Palak Paratha Ingredients
- wheat flour – Use homemade wheat flour or store bought flour.
- Eyelid – I have used spinach greens here, you can use other types of greens also.
- spice powder – Turmeric powder, garam masala powder is used
- tempering Oil is heated and cumin, celery and green chillies are used to add tadka.

How to make Palak Paratha step by step
1. Heat oil in a pan – add things under ‘to temper’ and let it splutter. Then add spinach leaves to it and fry until its quantity reduces.

2. When the vegetables shrink, turn off the gas, add green coriander to it and turn off the gas. Cool the mixture and grind it finely to make a paste. In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, green vegetable paste, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt as required.

3. Knead a soft dough by adding water little by little as required. Then make the dough into lemon sized balls. Dust the surface with flour and take a ball and flatten it.

4.Then roll it out gently and make a thin paratha (Since it does not have stuffing, I have made it a thin paratha). Heat the dosa tawa, flip the parantha, add a little oil and cook until brown spots appear, then turn and cook on the other side. Serve hot with raita/dal or your favorite side dish.

These are mildly spicy which makes them perfect for kids…You can also serve with homemade white butter.
